Dr. George R. Jennings, MD
(Dr. Jennings joined Hickory Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery in July, 2008.)
We are pleased and excited to be bring Dr. George Jennings to the Hickory Plastic
& Reconstructive Surgery Center. Dr. Jennings is a graduate of the University of
Mississippi School of Medicine, and completed his Plastic Surgery Residency at the
University of Tennessee, Memphis.
Dr. Jennings completed his undergraduate education at the University of Mississippi.
His writing has been widely published in medical journals such as American Surgeon
and Southern Medical Journal. He holds certifications in Advanced Trauma Life Support,
Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
Some of Dr. Jennings's honors include First Place in the Bibb County Medical Society
Resident Research Competition, First Place, Mississippi Committee on Trauma Resident
Competition, 2001, and Third Place, Georgia Committee on Trauma Resident Competition,
2002. Additionally, he is fluent in American Sign Language. Dr. Jennings and his
wife live in Hickory.
Board Certified by The American Board of Plastic Surgery, member of the American
Society of Plastic Surgeons.
